About Search Engine Marketing Firm ROI-SEO

Are you ready to take control of your bottom line by making decisions about search engine optimization that are based on ROI (return on investment)?

Being "ROI Web Solutions": Why We Focus On Your ROI

The decision to name our web development firm "ROI Web Solutions" was not a decision that was made lightly. We didn't pick the name because it was clever, catchy or easy to remember. We picked it because it described exactly what our mission is.

Likewise, we named our search engine optimization firm "ROI-SEO" because search engine optimization is a waste of money if it does not result in a good return on the investment.

To achieve maximum ROI, a website website must look good, communicate well, and be structured in a way that is inviting and informative to search engines and people. It must impress upon prospective customers what a pleasure it will be to do business with you.

That means it is not enough to just get some pages up on the internet. Good ROI from website development occurs only when search engine marketing and cutting-edge conversion strategies are integral elements of the overall plan and execution of the website construction.

Being "ROI Web Solutions" is something that grew out of an observation of how we came to have most of the clients we've worked with. The majority of our clients came to us because they were disappointed in their previous search engine optimization firms.

Making SEO Clients Happy

We find that making SEO clients happy is a unique challenge. Because there is so much mystery and myth surrounding SEO, most clients think of SEO in purely fantasy-based terms. To the majority of clients, what SEO actually is—what exactly it does to get results--is essentially perceived as something magical, akin to the Midas Touch. To them, SEO is just that thing they need to turn their websites to gold. What it's worth to have your website turned to gold is hard to say, but shopping for the best price makes sense to most SEO clients.

So most people shop for the cheapest sorcerer they can find, pay their money, and assume that by the time their check clears they can expect to be found on the internet.

To the majority of first-time SEO clients, being "found on the internet" means that any keywords that anyone might ever think of to use to try to find their website will, in fact, result in their website showing up in the top ten (preferably number one) in Google, Yahoo and MSN.

Every client gets that particular bubble burst on the first try, no matter what SEO techniques are used, and they quickly move on to "What are we number one for?"

What Are We Number One For?

The focus on "What are we number one for?" makes clients vulnerable to some very cheap SEO tricks.

It is heart breakingly easy to make clients happy by creating spammed doorway pages targeting unpopular yet impressive-sounding keywords which turn up Number One on MSN as soon as the site is indexed (MSN's algorithms are not very spam-proof at all yet). Clients love to tell their colleagues about their position on MSN for these keywords, but they just avoid mentioning the fact that it hasn't translated to an increase in their actual traffic.

Since these clients remain grateful for their rankings despite lack of traffic, it is clear that unethical SEO firms are doing an excellent job of making SEO clients happy.

However, these clients eventually become unhappy with their ROI, so sooner or later they fire the SEO firm and look for another one.

Second Chance SEO

Clients who give SEO a second chance after firing their first SEO firm are sadder, but rarely wiser. Most second-chance SEO situations play out nearly identically to the first. The second SEO firm may last a little longer and collect more monthly fees for "keeping your rankings high" (read: doing little or nothing), but the ROI will still be very disappointing.

Third Chance SEO

ROI Web Solutions' position in the SEO market is as a "Third Chance" search engine optimization firm. We find that the First and Second chance clients are not ready to let go of the idea of SEO as the Midas Touch and/or are unwilling to take control of their own bottom line by actually understanding what effective SEO really involves. Many of these clients insist that they cannot understand SEO, do not want to understand, and simply want the traffic gate opened once and for all.

Third Chance clients are generally ready to have SEO demystified and partner with us to achieve the best return possible on their investment.
